Bata

Bata is the capital city of the mainland region Mbini in the territory of Equatorial Guinea and of the province Litoral. As of 2008, Bata had approximately 207,765 residents - and is the country's largest city. It is located on the Atlantic and has a seaport with a ferry route to Malabo and Douala, as well as an airport.

Bata is located at an altitude of 531 m above sea level. The seat of government (at least a division of the government) is located in Bata - although Bata is not the official capital city.
