Arrival and Transfer

Direct flights to Malabo originate from Madrid, Zurich and Paris. An additional international airport is located in Bata. Between Malabo and Bata, there is a regular air connection as well as ferry service. At the same time, Malabo and Bata are this country´s major port cities. Passenger vessels maintain regular service to Douala in Cameroon. There are road connections to the neighbouring countries Cameroon and Gabon. However, these roads are in relatively poor condition and largely unpaved. Furthermore, there is no railway system In Equatorial Guinea. Mini-buses travel from Bata to Mbini, Acalayong and Ebebiyin. There are no car-hire agencies in Equatorial Guinea. However, bush taxis can be hired.

Bata - a coastal city in Africa
Bata is the capital city of the mainland region Mbini in the territory of Equatorial Guinea and of the province Litoral.

As of 2008, Bata had approximately 207,765 residents - and is the country's largest city.
